Seeking to be more like Jesus every day as we go and make disciples teaching them to obey everything that Jesus taught us. This is the great commission.
FELLOWSHIP AND FORUM is a website which is designed to alert the church to events or teachings that may be beneficial for the entire church as we reach the world for Christ..
Like the noble Bereans we welcome each opportunity to study scripture, learn and grow and exhort one another within the Lord's church to be more like Jesus every day.
Fellowship and Forum is composed of men of the church who seek to encourage every soul in the Lord's church onto love and good works as we live out our daily lives for God and make disciples.
We seek to inspire, support, and challenge congregational and Christian school leaderships with God's Word and to impress upon all baptized believers the importance of fully relying on God's Word and the power of the Holy Spirit: every elder, minister, preacher, deacon, ministry leader, Bible teacher, school educator, and all.
REACHING OUT TO CONGREGATIONS THOUGHOUT THE WORLD
Our outreach goes to over 2,000 churches of Christ in the United States (large and small) and to select Christian schools and Christian organizations around the world.
LOVING ONE ANOTHER:
How do we bring the individuals within the body of Christ closer together to further the mission of the church? The way we do that is to interact with one another. It’s the “love one another” way as we equip, lift up and challenge one another onto love and good works.
For example, we see the Connect Conference event as a way to inspire the Church to make disciples and bring all the many individuals within the church closer together.
We want all the people of the world to know that from the first century to today, we are ambassadors of Jesus Christ as marked by our great love for one another.
John 13:34-35
34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
MINISTERS OF RECONCILIATION:
We are people of “the Book,” God’s Holy Word. Each of us prayerfully seeks daily guidance from our Heavenly Father and his Word through the power of the Holy Spirit that indwells all baptized believers.
We do not worship a book but the one who the book tells us about: our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. Rather, we revere scripture because it is the inerrant word of God. It is our Holy Spirit inspired "guidebook" that tells us how to live and move and have our very being. Therefore, as the Apostle Paul told Timothy, we watch both our life and doctrine as we live out our lives while fully relying on the grace of God to save even a sinner like me.
Having observed these things, that is why we are so sorrowful when we see scripture "re-interpreted" with "new information" to conform to today's culture as espoused in some corners of the church. It is so important, as in spiritual life or death, to see the world through gracious and loving Bible Eyes and to seek to walk daily in the light as he (Jesus) is in the light.
ELDERS ARE WORTHY OF DOUBLE HONOR
Indeed, we serve and minister as God’s saints and we strive to love and encourage each other. Of course, as part of an individual congregation each one of us is led by our own loving elders and are subject to these shepherd leaders.
As always, any events or teachings posted or linked on Fellowship and Forum are subject to each congregation's own eldership and ministers being aware. Again, if members of the body of Christ have questions regarding a teaching within an event or teaching that we have announced or linked to online, they should consult with their own elders and ministers.
